Getting your day started on the right foot with a filling, healthy breakfast can be a really big challenge when we’re on the road. Better than just a cup of coffee and a granola bar, there are lots of suggestions for things to make ahead of time, or throw together the night before so that you can just grab it and go when you start your day. Most of these require just a little planning, maybe a small blender, and some pretty inexpensive ingredients.

Overnight oats are popular because they’re very nutritious, they taste good, and they’re super easy to make. All you need are the ingredients, a container, and somewhere to keep the mixture cool overnight. Check out these recipes for overnight oats.

Smoothies are another easy and healthy option. Make them more filling with protein powder or tofu, and sneak in some greens if you want to get more veggies into your day.
