Scaling Loads Update
Last month, NTB updated our processes on how our drivers scale loads. Drivers will no longer need to pay for weight tickets out of pocket! All scale costs will be covered with your new EFS card.
When scaling a CAT scale, you will have two options for payment. You can either pay while sitting in your truck or at the cashiers station. If you choose your truck, you will need to sign up to use the scale on the WeighMyTruck app. This app is available for both IPhones and Androids!
Once you download the app and sign up, you can weigh and re-weigh from the comfort of your own truck! The total will be automatically charged to your EFS card and your weight slip emailed to NTB. This is a great way to make weighing convenient, and paperless!
You can still pay at the cashier’s station if you do not want to pay with the app. The process is exactly the same as before, but you will just use your EFS card to pay! If you do choose this method, you will need to save your weight slips and submit them in your driver packet.
If for any reason your EFS card malfunctions and you have to pay out of pocket, NTB’s dispatch team would be happy to complete a reimbursement form on your behalf.
