Spring cleaning for your truck
Spring is here! This is the season when new flowers bloom and we start to think about fresh starts, clean slates, and spring cleaning. After the dark winter days, it’s time to brighten up your truck with a deep clean to renew and refresh it for the months ahead. Here are some of NTB’s recommendations for cleaning your truck this spring.
Interior cleaning
Remove the Trash – This is an obvious first step to getting your truck looking good and being a comfortable place for you to work. Take out trash and other debris such as food wrappers, water bottles, receipts and yesterday’s newspaper. Don’t forget to check behind and under the truck seats.
Vacuum the Interior – Use a strong or commercial (truck wash) vacuum to get all the loose dirt, crumbs or flakes off your mats, dashboard or other truck surfaces.
Clean the surfaces
It’s amazing how much dust and dirt accumulate inside the truck! Even the neatest trucker will find plenty to clean up in the high-touch areas or flat surfaces of your truck. Be sure to empty the truck storage compartments of plastic bags and other loose items. Vacuum the area out and get in the corners. Wipe these truck surfaces down with a cleaning agent. Lightly spraying into the cavity will not hurt anything and will allow cleaning agents to penetrate the corners and edges.

Clean the Glass
The glass in your semi is your view of the world so make sure it’s good and clean. If there is dirt or film on the windshield, it can really impair your vision, especially if you’re driving into sunset or sunrise.
