Waupun Truck-n-Show
WAUPUN, WI - NTB, Inc. was pleased to participate in the 2013 Waupun Truck-N-Show, August 9-10, 2013. The event attracts hundreds of trucks each year from all over the United States and Canada. NTB set up a recruiting booth in the show area where recruiters met with several potential drivers. One of NTB’s tractor/trailer units took part in the “Lights of the Night Convoy” parade on Friday night, the “Rides of Pride Parade” on Saturday afternoon as well as the judging competition in the “Tractor / Dry Van (Company Truck)” category.
The parades were cool with several thousand people along the parade route wanting the 200 plus trucks in the parade to blow their horns and run their “jake brakes.” For the night parade, the City of Waupun turns off all of the street lights on Main Street so the trucks can display their amazing array of lights. The afternoon parade enables spectators to see the beautiful murals and other works of art on each truck. To cap everything off, NTB won the second place trophy in our category.
Thanks to our maintenance department for their hard work in the initial cleaning and detailing of the tractor and trailer. Customer Service worked hard to get us loads within 15 miles of Waupun and then got us loaded Saturday night to get back to Grand Rapids. Thanks to Rick Koster for his nice tractor and for making it available to show (we had many comments about how great it looked). Dale Arnold, Kalina Dusenbery and Jerry Warnemuende cleaned and polished and then recruited. Thanks to all!
