NTB knows it’s not easy being away from your family on the road, and it can be especially challenging during an emergency. One way to alleviate stress when an emergency occurs is by having an emergency action plan in place. This way, you and your family will be prepared in case of crisis.
To create an emergency action plan, start by thinking of potential emergency scenarios and decide the best way to handle the situation. It’s always easier to think clearly when you aren’t under pressure or in the middle of a crisis. You may want to involve your spouse and other family members while creating your plan.

- Don’t forget medical emergencies, accidents, and natural disasters.
- Think about where your kids and pets will go in an emergency.
- Know each other's schedules so people know when something isn’t right.
- Ensure all family members have updated contact information for each other.
