Service Watch: Making Sure We’re Giving 110%

At NTB, we’re proud of all of our drivers and staff who use caution and great attention to detail to make sure we’re giving our customers the best possible service. Here are a few areas that we’re focusing on this month to keep everyone and everything in our care moving safely and securely.

Refrigerated & Temperature Control Loads

Always make sure that if a load is temperature controlled, that you know the required set temp for the load (from the bill of lading), and that your reefer is set to the proper temperature. If at any time the temperature doesn’t match or you have a question, call dispatch right away!

Operating in Customer Facilities and Parking Lots

When operating at ANY customer facility/parking lot, remember to:

• Obey posted speed limits
• Come to a complete stop at stop signs
• Yield to pedestrians and keep an eye out for approaching pedestrians in crosswalks
• Be alert for switchers, and yield to their movement. There is also a lot of construction going on at the distribution centers, so watch for construction workers, vehicles, and equipment.
