Just when it seems the snow is starting to melt and you’re once again enjoying dry roads and clear weather, you get hit with springtime allergies. And if the sneezing and runny nose weren’t already bad enough, antihistamines are frowned upon because they cause excessive drowsiness. Looking for relief? Follow these tips to help you get through pollen season:

1. Stay Closed - You may be feeling the itch to crack the cab windows, but direct exposure to outside air will cause unnecessary irritation. Keep windows shut and opt to turn on air conditioning and add a clean air filter to your vents.

2. Stay Covered - Sunglasses are useful for more than just protecting your eyes from sunlight. Wear shades to help block your eyes from free-floating pollen to help reduce watery-ness and itchiness. In order to reduce itchy and watery eyes, wear shades to protect them from free-floating pollen.

3. Stay Clean - Make keeping your cab and clothing clean a routine. Vacuum often and consider changing clothes if you are outside for a while. Shower often, especially before bed, to eliminate excess pollen.
