This year’s National Truck Driver Appreciation Week (NTDAW), held September 13-19, was a special time for the country to show support for the hardworking men and women truck drivers nationwide.
This year, NTB planned cookouts at several of their locations to make sure our drivers had the opportunity to come by and celebrate with us.
“We are so grateful for our NTB drivers who have a deep commitment to providing our country with access to essential products,” said Dale Arnold, Recruiting Retention Manager.
Starting Monday and going through Friday, NTB staff, including their executives, cooked hamburgers and hot dogs with all the fixin’s and sides at their terminal locations in Pleasant Prairie, WI, Lansing, MI, Tipp City, OH and Grand Rapids, MI. There were also days when a waffle and sausage breakfast was served for the early risers. We also had the pleasure of serving some visiting drivers a meal.
At NTB, we recognize that truck drivers deserve our appreciation all year long because trucking is a large part of a healthy economy. Without it, most of us would be without the goods to survive situations like the pandemic of the past two years.
“Our drivers are there, putting in the hard work to deliver loads, on time, and above all with utmost safety,” said Arnold. “We are proud of you. We respect your integrity. Thank you!”
It was our pleasure to celebrate NTB drivers throughout driver appreciation week! We hope each driver was able to come and get some good food and soak up some genuine gratitude from all of us here at NTB for the personal sacrifices they make each and every day in order to deliver goods safely, securely and on time.
